 We
consistently seek funds from grants
and bodies for staff salaries and
our activities. However, one off or
regular donations often make the difference
between an activity stopping or an
activity continuing. LA-UK needs money
each month to continue making a difference.
Every penny helps. LA-UK only works
with targeted children, young people
and families who need specific support.
Below is an example of how the money
we receive is spent and where you
could help us out:
£0.99 per week will get 4 pints of
milk to make enough cups of tea for
us all.
£5.00 per week will buy fruit for
50 young people at our sessions.
£25 per session or
£100 per week or
£3,900 per year will pay for the vehicle
hire and affiliated costs to take
50 targeted young people out each
week, 39 times a year.
£10 will pay for a child to access
a three day Soccer School and receive
encouragement and praise no matter
what their football ability.
£20 will pay for 2 children of the
same family to access a school holiday
play scheme.
£150 will pay for a young person (who
has never been out the country) to
travel to Skovbo Efterskole in Denmark
for a student exchange style week.
£200 per person or
£3,000 all in, will pay for a 5 day
life changing activity residential
during half term for 15 targeted teenagers.
£30,000 will pay for a full time youth
worker, their office space, the vehicle
hire, plus all the activities they
run (after school activities, in school
support and wider family support)
for targeted children and young people
in need of support for one year.
